WILL I SURVIVE

Will I survive through these hard times
or will I become another victim to this silent killer
I’ve been exposed, but that still doesn’t qualify me to be tested
which shows me that this world can’t be trusted
they say nobody knows but someone always knows something  

Will I survive through these hard times
or will I finally meet my fate           
and say goodnight to life and good morning to the afterlife
seeing so many go
before they could even know
putting families through so much sorrow
the pain
they can’t even swallow

Will I survive through these hard times
cause I’m trying to stay alive
so I can strive for greatness and continue practicing being the greatest at whatever I do

Will I survive through these hard times
God only knows what your future holds 
now if this is being read after my departure
just know I fought 
but my soul I didn’t let the devil capture

Bio

Seven years ago, I was robbed at gunpoint. The bullet put me in a wheelchair, and I wound up at Coler. I joined OPEN DOORS two years back, and I told them my ambition was to produce music. They found a great producer who came in every Friday to teach me.

Now I’m paying it forward. I got a grant to start a music school. I'm working with kids who don’t have the money for studio time, teaching them how to produce and that they're bigger than what their environment expects them to be.
