Ireal K. Jacobs
Poem of Encouragement
Public destruction
When you feel you don't fit in
When it seems everyone is ruling against you
You start feeling like you melting on the inside
You wanna quit, give up:
Hold on
God is hovering, and near you
Keep going, keep striving
You are more valuable than you think
Don’t trust me, believe the change in me
Life improvement
Every day you wake up there’s something to prove to yourself
Every minute in the day, every second you breathe
There's someone praying for you
Keep moving forward
You are protected by the spirit of God
Pick yourself up
Yes, life can knock you down but
You can choose to get back up, run your course
Don’t let the immaturity of others dictate your life
God said you are fearfully and wonderfully made
Hold on
You are somebody
Life teaches you: you don't belong, you don't matter
No one cares what you say
But, if you speaking from the heart and from your life experiences,
No one can take that from you
Live, laugh and keep positive
God knows your inner secrets, your encouragements
You doing the right thing
During your worthless moments
Know that you are a warrior
You are a champion
Know in your heart, you are being heard
Know that you are a rising star,
You are not worthless
You are great
You are of God, little children
And have overcome them
Because the greater is he that is in you,
Than he that is in the world
Be encouraged
You are not like those who are condemned, lost, confused
You know where you are going
Bio
I am from Brooklyn, NY. After years of being in and out of incarceration and realizing that I was headed for no man’s land, I made the conscious decision to become a deacon, and to serve the Lord with all my heart and soul.
