I'm Emmanuel Sesay, the toasting and posting guy on Roosevelt Island. I love wheeling and spinning as a form of therapy. I love getting out to know my way around and it makes me fall in love with Roosevelt Island. I grew up in Liberia, but I feel like a New Yorker from Brooklyn and now Coler and Roosevelt Island is my home. Being outdoors on Roosevelt Island brings me joy. The environment and structures of Roosevelt Island bring me joy. I love taking photos of buildings and nature and doing environmental photography to share the beauty of Roosevelt Island to the outside world. I enjoy visiting Cornell Tech. Lockdown was the hardest on wheelchair people because we were cut off from our family and friends. Our neighbors on Roosevelt Island didn't see us at all for more than a year and some of them thought that we had died. This made us more than vulnerable. Something else that brings me joy is to say thank you to the staff at Coler in the mornings and check on my fellow residents.
